How i finished the 3rd project and finalised all the other projects

Ealier i metioned videos. the videos were retrieved from a gamespot website. the ones i downloaded had to then be conveted with a video converted and then edited in windows media maker. as you can see this video is black and white or its colour scale is strong taking the colour away. i created this affect and multiple affects in windows media maker as well as cutting it to gether making it shapr and concise. the videos i downloaded were to big and long in time so i used my skills and applied them to video.

terminology such as "sick of highlights" ad "you want to be more than jus a fan" was created by me i made a prologue a concept becuase playing the computer game is almost as if you can tatse the football, the feeling of scoring it is very emotional if you like football. i then made the prologue in full it is shown below;

images found images of games spot and seracin google. i added images becuase i have the game and play it all the time and i belive it would impact the whole footage. all i will do is change the scale to emphasise the text that will appear alongside it. he list of images are present in the reference section.



Exporting Work Problems




Expoeritng all the work was hard project 2 the tv ident should had had this as its ident "science direct" is what the S and the D stand for. unfortunately due to time maangement and error of data on Ater Affects led it not to be included

composition of video was hard becase of the so many opions i should have made the video footgae bigger to make it take up the whole screen.


when burning the projects on to data cds ,i had to make sure i included all the working files such as the after affects file, images and vdeo footage as well as the exported product.

Problems

the biggest problem i had and still faustrated was sound and saving files with the project. i saved them in to seperate places so when i went to do my work the practical elements were missing. it therefore equalled a waste of time. the worst problem that ruined my project was sound, the sound was faulty and problematic and never let me enhance sound or even to mute it. each time i attemted to open the preview project it would not play and when exported it still would not play so therefore i now have an ident that has no sound, this defeats the object as the sound was supposed to make an impact i did actually download it which was the saddest part, i belive it is the after affects 5.5 which caused this fault.

i download alot of music these days and i do pay for it but i noticed that i neeed a rock song for my project and i download rock music as i listen to it frequently and the trakc i used is a bonus track taken from a rock group called disciples, it went superb with the footage.

3rd project - Fifa Advert

first idea and final project ida



my first idea initially was an advert for my successful web banner for rewind. i was going to ad some of the pictures i never used that was from the site and incorporate a short video with my friend rhyming for the muisc. this idea howeva is to time consuming and will require other software and editing techniques. i will follow it up in my spare time but for now my final idea will be an advert whereby i will be advertising products for sale and intising customers to come to the store and buy or simply just to make them aware of the sale and that it is now on!



my idea arrived from talking to a customer in my shop telling me his shop is still on sale and that i should come down. i then thought if they avertised strongly i would be aware and i would have possibly checked internet or went down to a local branch. i then thought maybe if i make a good advert and include information such as when the sale ends funnily enough most stores say "offer ends soon" examples of whats to offer, prices in context of both original and reduced, how much percent is on offer and what items are on offer.



other questions to ask myself is if the shop im using include more than one type of product e.g. furniture, electricals, entertainment and so on.



i will browse some websites, mainly those who are participating in the sales, who are selling items that i am, taking note of the web banners how to influence attractiveness.



these are just a few thoughts i will take into account

My final idea was a bit closer to home when i have leisure time i like to play compuer to my hearts content i woke up in the morning and said "why dont i make an advert on fifa that would be easy" i laughed and then fought about all the elements i would need well for one thing i would need video footage to keep it professional, a scenario to bring the beauty of the game so it was then that i pulled out all the stops and fifa08 was in commision

Asking opinions

I asked one of my friends one their view of the product so far-
her reply was (when she watched it) "maybe its just me...i think the images r movin abit 2 fast..especially the lion"

my reply to her was-
"i jus say one thing, on tv idents, wen do u catch the whole of the ident itself, you are always left thinking i want to see that again, it finished to quick, you got so much goin on you only focus on things each time u c it"

her reply was-
"yeh thats true"

I learnt that speed can work as an advantage towards the viewer leading them to want to repeatedly watch it becuase their eye wasnt as keen on one item as the other. this brought up another point is it eye catching enough or are some element weak. I asked people whether they think the TV Ident so far is good and they agreed but i think that some tweaking up is very necessary!

Re-watching my tv ident i jus felt not enough was goin on and i was misisng some valid cases of science, this concerned me alot after all it did have to be a science channel dedicated to nothing but complete science. dwelling on these thoughts i decided to add sum satelites in space hovering around to make the viewers eyes busy below is the image i chose.

i am questioning if i should use these or not the reason why i would mostly not be likely to is becuase of my time schedule

Time Line Extention

originally the time line amounted to 00:10:00 seconds as accurate to real time as possible. my project needed more time so i decided to change it by going to composition> composition settings and then changing the time line to 00:20:00 seconds. i gathered this will be long enough but it actually wasnt becuase of the use of effects and different images therefore i added an extra 10 seconds making it 00:30:00. i then shrunk the images life span on the time line making it shorter so i could fit more affects and movement before i ran out of time on the time line. below is examples of composition settings, the time line and the shrinking towards the images time line.

Final Idea

i have realised a problem with a sci-fi channel, the problem is my ideas woud co-incide with the actual channel called "sci-fi channel" therefore if looking at a broader horizon, one can think about a channel dedicated to all elements of science instead of "science fiction" i will think about science more and think how i can bring forth a respectable tv ident for a science channel. My final idea will be about all elements of science this will be my final idea

Audacity

audacity is a software used to manipulate sound files into how the creator sees fit. during class my tutor showed the class what audacity is and how to use it, he explained it was a free software that is easy to download and to use. he then showed how to copy and paste sound waves and make them stretch an shrink and make the pittch higher and lower. there was only a part of james bonds Goldfinger that i actually wanted and that was the part before shirley bassey sung. therefore i hightlighted the part i wanted and cut it and past it in a new work area in audacity, i then looped it for about 20 seconds, i than had my repetitive yet affective goldfinger theme tune in the format that i wanted. i saved it as a WAV file as this is what was needed for use in Adobe After Affects.

Science Direct?

Comming up with a name fot this science channel i chose the name "science direct" but like always i jus made bullet points on what a name should entail

the channel

• had to be evident it was a science channel
• it had to sound powerful enough to grab attention and earn respect combinign a name with the motion piece, this would initially entice the viewer
• the name has to be powerful enough to question "what exactly is science direct" and want to know more
• the name science direct meant it would directly be about everything to do with science this is how i came up with the name
